I am also Editor of two book series,Contemporary Psychoanalytic Studies and New Imago, and serve on the Editorial Board for the journal, Psychoanalytic Psychology. Having held graduate and undergraduate faculty appointments in over fifteen universities and colleges, I am the founding President of the Section on Psychoanalytic and Psychodynamic Psychology of the Canadian Psychological Association, and am a Core Faculty member at the Adler School of Graduate Studies in Toronto.
As a theoretical scholar and applied clinician, I have been preoccupied with advancing both conceptual and technical innovations in psychoanalysis, clinical treatment interventions, diagnosis and pathology, and philosophical psychology. Many of my recent publications have centered around the philosophy of psychoanalytic psychology, existential phenomenology, German Idealism, and process thought. My scholarly research interests are broadly focused on the philosophy of psychoanalysis and its practical application, character pathology, attachment disorders, Modern through contemporary European Continental philosophy, process metaphysics, value inquiry, and the ontology of the unconscious.
